Albany Co. Alternative Care provides comprehensive medical marijuana evaluations to New York residents who suffer from both chronic and acute ailments. Patients who qualify that request an appointment at this location will receive a consultation with a state approved and board certified physician who has many years of experience working with patients diagnosed with both chronic and acute ailments. During the evaluation, the medical history of the patient will be thoroughly reviewed. Together the doctor and patient will formulate a treatment plan to fit the specific needs of the patient. The doctor and staff will then develop a plan that includes any necessary follow-up visits, ensuring each patient maintains their legal cardholder status as dictated by the New York Medical Marijuana Program. Patients with questions are encouraged to book an appointment or to call the office directly to learn more about the process in NY.

Certification Process Overview
Step 1: Connect with the Doctor/Clinic and request your certification appointment.
Step 2: Complete your certification appointment (in-person or online, you may be asked to submit medical records). Make sure that you (or the Doctor) have registered your profile with the State's Medical Marijuana Registry to submit your certification request with the State.
Step 3: You should receive your Medical Marijuana Certification within 1-2 weeks. Your physical card will arrive in the mail.
General Certification Requirements
1) Patients must be legal State residents (in the State you are looking to get certified) and provide proof of residency.
2) If possible, please submit your medical records before your appointment with the Doctor, indicating a qualifying medical condition.
